November 15 "World Day Victims of Traffic Accidents "
On 26 October 2005 the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the third Sunday in November as a Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims to put in the international public agenda the devastating consequences of road accidents and demand action.
Since 2006, commemorating the day has been established as the "DAY OF THE TRAFFIC ACCIDENT VICTIMS, with vigils, marches and other activities in Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, Uruguay, Spain, England and other countries, usually promoted by various Civil Society Organizations.
In the past 15 years 113,939 people died in Argentina, 21 per day and 120 thousand were injured each year due to traffic events.
In Salta to this date 172 people have died in traffic accidents, 17 more than in all of 2008.
